Self-catering is the answer! Whether you're searching for a relaxing holiday or a week of house-hunting, this is self catering at its best in this pretty Gite, situated on the Charente/Dordogne border. Bed and Breakfast, Half or Full Board is also available in the main house, offering a comfortable Double Bedroom, a cosy Twin Room, Bathroom, separate W. C. and Salon with Sky TV/DVD/Video, including Radio/Cassette.
For those wishing to reach us by air, Angouleme, Bordeaux, Bergerac and Limoges Airports serve this region, within equidistance of your destination. Collection from the Airport can be arranged by your hosts, with the services of a local hire car company, upon arrival. Ask about this facility, when you book.
Alternatively, have you considered France as a romantic Honeymoon destination? Contact us and we'll arrange your special event. For those wishing to bring pets during the Summer, small dogs are welcome, as long as they keep their owners under control!!!!

The Gite was tastefully designed and constructed in 2004, in the enclosed gardens of an ancient farmhouse on the Charente/Dordogne border. It has been built in two sections and comprises a Double Bedroom with Ensuite Shower Room. A covered Terrace, complete with washing lines separates this section from the fully-equipped Kitchen/Diner and adjoining Salon. All this looks out onto an open Terrace with a 12x6m outdoor Pool and a decorative pond with wooden bridge. Separate lawns are shaded by a Walnut tree. The Property includes four acres of land with a lake. Due to the peace and tranquility, it was named "Zen". No other word describes it more aptly.

The Pool Terrace
The secluded Terrace is hidden away in private gardens. A delightful sun-trap, with rural views across the rolling countryside gives you the chance to escape the hustle and bustle of modern day life.

Zen La Chaussade - The Land
Attached to the Property are four acres of land and a lake - the tranquility of the French countryside can be enjoyed to its full, by taking a stroll across the meadows. Binoculars are provided for twitchers!
